Influenza Vaccination Clinic

The Department of Health recommends annual influenza vaccinations for all adults and children over 6 months of age. These vaccinations are available at St Andrews Health.

The latest seasonal flu vaccine is typically available from April each year. To manage high patient demand, we run dedicated flu vaccination clinics at scheduled times throughout the day. These appointments are shorter in duration and are intended for vaccination only, so other medical concerns cannot be addressed during these visits.

Free influenza vaccinations are available for all patients.

Eligible groups under government-funded programs include:

Children aged 6 months to under 5 years (eligibility ceases after the 5th birthday)
Adults aged 65 years and over
Individuals aged 6 months and older with medical conditions that increase the risk of severe influenza (e.g. severe asthma, chronic lung or heart disease, compromised immunity, or diabetes)
Pregnant women (at any stage of pregnancy)
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months and over
